Coulsdon Manor 2025

THE WAYFAIRER

The New Wayfairers Golf Society Issue 171 June 2025

COULSDON MANOR FRIDAY 27th June 2025
The Captain’s Report
Originally fourteen players signed up to play but unfortunately three
withdrew owing to illness or,
Domestic issues. Two members Messrs Bateson and Reeves joined for
lunch. John Bateson did a very professional job with both preparing and
checking the cards. The course played long and we were advised to play
“preferred lies” given the dryness of the fairways.
The weather was warm with a pleasant breeze and we sat down to a most
enjoyable, two course lunch.
The LD went to Neil Jenkinson who just pipped Dick Hills to the prize
and NP went to Spencer Atwell who saw off all the other competition.
The overall winner with 36 points was John Inglefield followed by Kam
Wong with 34 points. Neville Harrison is the current host of our cuddly
hedgehog until the next outing which is likely to be Hever.
The raffle prize was won by Kam Wong who now has £25 to spend at
John Lewis/Waitrose.
In all it was an enjoyable day and the hotel looked after us well.
